Specialist real estate finance provider Maslow Capital has completed two development loans worth £114 million, supporting YourTRIBE in delivering two premium Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) projects in Walthamstow and Greenwich. Together, the developments will provide 638 student units and 10,600 sq ft of commercial space, reinforcing Maslow Capital’s commitment to easing the student housing shortage in the UK and Europe.
The funding package includes £35 million for a 224-bed PBSA scheme in Walthamstow, featuring 5,300 sq ft of commercial space, set for completion by the 2026 academic year. Additionally, a £79 million facility will support a 414-bed PBSA project in Greenwich, expected to be completed in 2027.
London remains one of the most undersupplied student housing markets in the UK, with just one available bed for every 3.6 students, compared to the national average of one bed per 2.1 students. With 44% of London’s student population coming from overseas—well above the national average of 25.2%—demand for high-quality, well-located student accommodation continues to grow.
