Vaping in the UK is increasingly regulated as concerns over health risks and youth vaping rise. The government has introduced a range of new laws and guidance to curb the misuse of vaping products, particularly among younger individuals. These measures aim to balance the availability of vaping for adults seeking a smoking alternative with protections to prevent non-smokers, especially young people, from taking up vaping. Age Restrictions and Sales Regulation

In the UK, the sale of e-cigarettes and vaping products to individuals under 18 is prohibited. These products are thoroughly checked for compliance with ingredient and quality standards to ensure consumer safety.

In addition, e-liquids containing nicotine can only be sold in bottles of 10 ml or less. This measure is designed to limit exposure to nicotine, especially in the case of accidental ingestion, which could be harmful.

In 2023, a government-led consultation explored options for additional restrictions, including potential bans on certain flavourings deemed likely to appeal to youth. The vaping industry in the UK is under continuous scrutiny, with increasing pressure to comply with evolving standards.
