Ubiquity, a global leader in customer experience, risk and compliance, and digital solutions, has announced the opening of a new customer experience centre in Accra, Ghana. Situated at Advantage Place in the heart of Accra’s bustling business district, the facility is conveniently located just minutes from Kotoka International Airport, providing seamless access for international clients.
This expansion underscores Ubiquity’s response to increasing demand for managed services in Africa, a market anticipated to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.2% between 2024 and 2030.
The Accra centre will provide multilingual customer support solutions to major global clients, primarily serving businesses in the financial services, healthcare, insurance, and e-commerce sectors. Ubiquity is committed to hiring over 500 professionals from Accra and surrounding communities in the initial phase of its expansion, creating significant employment opportunities in roles such as CX specialists, brand ambassadors, quality assurance leads, IT experts, and key operational management.
“The decision to expand our global footprint into Africa comes with immense pride and excitement,” said Ubiquity Co-Founder & President, Sagar Rajgopal. “We are grateful to be a part of the thriving, cosmopolitan city of Accra which is virtually time zone neutral for the UK and EU. We are confident that its highly educated workforce, compassionate people, and favourable business environment can help us provide the best customer support and exceptional value for our partners and their customers.”
This investment underscores Ubiquity’s commitment to providing diverse offshore solutions for its clients. The Middle East and Africa telecom market is experiencing robust growth, driven by increasing mobile phone penetration and the liberalisation of the telecom sector (2), creating an ideal environment for Ubiquity’s expansion. The company’s presence in Accra allows it to leverage Ghana’s booming economic climate and access top talent while offering conducive time zone options for international businesses.
“Establishing a strong presence in Africa felt like a natural next step to support our clients with diverse offshore solutions, conducive time zone options and top talent access in a country like Ghana with such a booming economic climate,” Rajgopal added. “This expansion allows us to enhance our service offerings and deliver even greater value to our clients while contributing to the local economy. We appreciate the warm welcome from the local community and look forward to welcoming many of its residents to our team as we continue to grow our presence here and across the region.”
