KADOKAWA Game Linkage and ABC Animation are pleased to announce the release of “Ninja Slayer Neosaitama in Flames” on Nintendo Switch and Steam (download). This game adaptation of the acclaimed novel and comic book series is now available for purchase, aligning with the anniversary of the comic’s serialisation on Twitter (now X). This marks the first indie game collaboration between KADOKAWA Game Linkage and ABC Animation.
The original “Ninja Slayer” series has been a massive hit, with over 4.44 million copies sold. The game’s setting is based on the novel’s universe, enhanced by striking visuals from the comics. Set in the cyberpunk city of “Neo Saitama”, players step into the shoes of Ninja Slayer, engaging in high-speed battles against numerous sinister enemy ninjas to avenge his wife and child.
Players can choose to face eight boss ninjas in any sequence. Conquering all the bosses will grant access to Tokorozawa Pillar, the ultimate stronghold where Laomoto resides. Besides the boss characters, the game includes a Dark Ninja with significant ties to Ninja Slayer. His special technique, “Death-Kiri”, and his cursed sword Beppin pose considerable challenges for players.
Notable game features include the Ninja-dash, which allows players to cut through many enemies at once, and Naraku mode, where even fallen ninjas can return with enhanced strength, albeit at a hidden cost. “Neosaitama in Flames” offers numerous action-packed battles.
The creators of the Ninja Slayer comics, Bradley Bond and Philip Ninj@ Morzez, have expressed their contentment with the game’s adaptation, noting that the overall atmosphere remains true to the comics.
“Ninja Slayer Neosaitama in Flames” is now available on both Steam and Nintendo Switch.
