Dobbies Garden Centres has unveiled its hotly anticipated decorating trends for the 2021
festive season, providing a preview of what this year’s celebrations will look like.
Revealing that festive home embellishments will be on a larger scale than ever before,
Dobbies is set to have its widest ever selection of Yuletide adornments, allowing customers to decorate and dazzle on a whole new level.
As families get ready to reunite, and friends prepare to party, the latest insights from the
UK’s largest garden centre retailer suggest that people will want to pull out all the stops
when it comes to their festive interiors this year, in a bid to make their homes Insta-ready
from all angles and make Christmas 2021 extra special.
The expert team at Dobbies has curated six themes to ensure a ‘not your average
Christmas’, with a whole host of new decorations, and something to suit every style and
budget. From a traditional Christmas with a luxe feel in Yuletide Wonder; a winter’s walk through the forest at dawn brought indoors with Mystical Woodland; Winter Glamour to give homes the ultimate, post lockdown ‘glow-up’; Christmas at midnight to set the tone for Midnight Reflections; eclectic bright and beautiful tones from around the world to give a Festive Bazaar vibe; to a refined and feminine tone with Champagne Sparkle, the possibilities are truly endless in 2021.
Christmas Buyer at Dobbies Garden Centres, Lynsey Abbott, commented: “2021 is all about celebrating the joy of coming together and being reunited over the festive period with the ones we cherish most in life, and our homes will play a central role in this.
“We believe that this year people will really want to shake up their interiors and transform
what has been their living/cooking/eating/working/entertaining space into something
completely different, and our six themes are here to inspire, no matter the style or look you are aiming for.
“Yuletide Wonder, Winter Glamour and Midnight Reflections all offer a range of luxe looks,
with a different colour palette and tones to complement a range of interior styles. The red on red tones from Yuletide Wonder is a particular favourite of mine, as it’s both traditional and dynamic at the same time.
“A lot of us have spent more time in the great outdoors than ever before, as it provides a
sanctuary to switch off from busy lives. At Dobbies we want to celebrate this by bringing the outdoors in, with our Mystical Woodlands theme, bringing together a host of natural inspired elements to create a Scandi inspired, rustic feel.
“For those that are looking for a different take on glitz and glamour, Champagne Sparkle and Festive Bazaar will fit the bill, with pastel, soft textures contrasting with moody jewel tones and pops of colour.
“While it remains hugely important, we’ve come a long way from the Christmas tree being
the sole focus for decorations. This year we’ll see other elements of the home reflecting
Christmas themes through stylish staircase garlands, glamorous garden lighting and chic
tablescapes.”
